LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH

Love is not enough when things get tough
and you look up to the sky to hold back
the tears in your eyes.

Love is not enough when anger and bad
thoughts come, there are some things
that cannot be undone.

Love is not enough when you say or do
things that hurt, putting you in a place
that you had wanted to forget.

Love is not enough when the bills are
piled high and you can’t catch up,
no matter how hard you try.

Love is not enough when life happens
around you, and all you can do is pray
for strength to survive and resist
the temptation to run and hide.

Love is not enough, at the end of the
day, to make the pain go away.
