"How do I begin to tell the story of a writer who is looking for her writing mojo?" I still love the idea of writing, however, my mojo lately has been lacking. I jot down thoughts, words, titles, but do not find the motivation to write about any of it. Am I done as a writer? What has happened to my dream to become a published author one day? What do I do to get the words flowly from my head, to the pen, to the paper?
For anyone out there who has gone through this "phase", if I can call it that, please tell me how you dealt with it. I tell myself everyday, "You need to write, don't let another day go by", and yet the day does end without anything being written. If I had to guess, I would say it is the state of mind I am in. For the past several months, my life has been a roller coaster, and the thought of writing just added to my stress and I did not want to deal with it. I have written before about not letting your emotions or happenings in your life, affect your ability to write on a daily basis. However, I have had trouble "practicing what I preach".
How do I get out of this rut??? I enjoy writing and want my MOJO back!!! All and any advice is welcome.

Start by writing fun stuff about things that you love, Ana.
What makes you passionate/feeds your passions? Is it travel, nature, food, history, your pet(s)?
Try either starting a blog specific to one of those passions, or trying to write and sell an article that will allow you to just write about something fun and fulfilling for you.
After having been in the business for 18 years, I can tell you that writing about things for which I am passionate really makes the writing more like fun versus being work/a job.
That's why I primarily write about travel, wine, chocolate and volunteerism - all things about which I am deeply passionate.
Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

I recommend pushing through it. Yesterday going over an early draft I felt was terrible made me want to quit. I walked away from it. I read author/writing blogs. I went to youtube & watch videos on character & dialog.
So basically I filled my head w/great information & encouragement.
This morning everything clicked. I woke up to my characters having a conversation and I could not get to the pc fast enough to start typing.
Feed your brain with positive things, be persistent and you will push through it.
Good Luck.
You are not alone in the lost MOJO boat, Ana. I am paddling right along with you. I am finding that writing more frequently in my blog is helping. I also am reading a lot more and found a great book ("The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin) that has made me want to pick up the pen and paper again and get to work. Not that the book is for writers it's just that reading something good get's me inspired.
im pretty new to blogging the blogging experience. iv had so many thoughts in my head but dint have ny of ma close frnds to talk to bout it.thats when i started this.i know it seems that im iv got no stand in advice, but prolly what i feel and how i jot down what goes on in my mind might just help. first thing is to notice, considering the fact that uv been goin thru a lot its prolly hard at the moment. so what are youn gona do bout it? prolly write bout what you feel like doin to get thru the bad and live the good. don leave it at that...go out and do wat uv blogged down. then you can write bout how the experience was. again...im pretty new to blogging...but prolly the best thing to do for someone who has been doing this a while, is to go bak to the basics. do let us know how it works out. peace!
is writing in polish language,
Just write your ideas down even if they sound like garbage. It helps your brain see problems, and then fix them. Don't just give up or say it sounds bad. Get your friend's and family's critique and help if you want. That helps me a lot.
Thanks for sharing this nice blog.it is very interesting.
This concept has been done time and time again; you will need something that makes it stand out from other stories of the same premise. You need compelling main characters so your audience can grow attached to them, so your audience can get a feel for what's really going on.
