Spiritual Journal

At the Christian church I go to they give out a mini quarterly devotional booklet, titled "Our Daily Bread". This mini devotional is distributed by RBC Ministries, www.rbc.org. It has bible verses, testimonials and inspiring words to teach about God's works.

It had been a while since I read one of these booklets. Today I read a passage, "Reflections", from the December, 2011, January-February, 2012 edition, that talked about Spiritual Journaling. I found this very interesting and I am going start to write this type of journal. It also mentions that Psalms of the bible can be considered spiritual journaling.

"Journaling maybe useful to you too. It can help you see more clearly what God is teaching you on life's journey and cause you to reflect in God's faithfulness." ---Dennis Fisher

Dennis Fisher recommends the following to begin a Spiritual Journal:

1. Record your struggles
2. Reflect on a verse that is especially comforting or challenging or write a prayer of thankfulness for God's faithfulness.

What other types of journals do you keep?
