Thank you for your comments. A few of the things I did to have people join is to sign up to sites like Blog Catalog, Technorati, Write Network, Digg, Stumble Upon, Network blogs through Facebook, Twitter. This is like a network of sites to promote your blog. I have any post that I do, go to my Twitter and post there, the same for Network Blogs through Facebook. I also visit sites that deal with writing and follow those, then that links back to your blog. It takes some time, as readers get to know you, to build your followers. I have also reached out to other bloggers to do a guest post on my blog and link back to their blog and you can do vice versa. If you would like to do a guest post on my blog, please let me know. The main thing is to get your website/blog in as many places as possible that deal with writing, or any other area that is your main interest. I hope this helps.
